Blow to Uhuru and Raila as Ruto leads in the latest national poll

Deputy President William Ruto has topped a new poll released on Wednesday in terms of media coverage on matters national politics by 27.88 percent.
The DP beat his boss, President Uhuru Kenyatta, who came in a close second with 20.76 percent coverage.
The survey conducted by the Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) between October of 2018 and June of 2019, showed that ODM leader, Raila Odinga, was the third most covered leader in national political matters.The coverage for the AU envoy for infrastructure stood at 18.04 percent.
Other leaders who were ranked by the poll were special envoy to South Sudan, Kalonzo Musyoka, with 3.76 percent and Malindi MP,  Aisha Jumwa, standing at 3.13 percent.
ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi, got 3.11 percent coverage, with former Jubilee party vice-chair, David Murathe with 3.06 percent, while all the others shared the remaining 20.25 percent.

The coverage around these personalities was based on 2022 politics and the handshake.
President Uhuru also ranked second on coverage on matters crime behind Interior CS Fred Matiang’i.
TIFA stated that Uhuru’s mentions under this theme focused on his remarks around the Dusit terror attack, that happened on January 15, and his impersonation.
