A driver is at the centre of Ksh 190 Million corruption scandal at Maasai Mara University, where the Vice Chancellor Professor, Mary Walingo, has been mercilessly looting money allocated for the development of the Narok based University.
A shocking expose on Citizen TV showed how the Vice Chancellor uses her driver as an errand body when she wants to loot money from the Accounts Department.
Every-time she wants to loot money, she sends her driver identified as Noor to collect the loot.
The Kenyan DAILY POST has learnt that Noor earns more than a bank manager despite being a mere driver.
Before the VC took office, Noor was a driver at the Narok based University earning around Ksh 30,000 to 40,000.
But when the VC took office, she ordered him to be promoted to an executive driver, a position that was created to accommodate him.
Noor now earns a whooping Ksh 200,000 per month for just being a driver.
Staff who spoke to Citizen TV under the request of anonymity revealed that Noor is always at the VC’s office making every deal and when the visitors come, he is there welcoming them.
The driver changes cars like clothes and he is currently cruising around with a guzzler worth Ksh 3 million.
He has also put a lavish mansion worth millions.
