As DP William Ruto drove through Tendet Village in Kimilili, he saw some children on the road.
He asked his motorcade to stop.
He then engaged the children in a conversation.
They told him they belong to the family of Elali Bakari.
DP Ruto then asked them why they were not in school and it is a Monday.
They explained that their school was among those affected by the countrywide safety inspection that he (DP) ordered recently.
He promised them that the Ministry of Education would make their school and others habitable and conducive for learning.
" You are the bedrock for the transformation of our country," DP Ruto told them.
He then listened to their dreams and aspirations and encouraged them to work hard and stay focused telling them everything is possible as long as they have clear goal, determination and faith in God
