Doctors have rejected a family proposal to have ailing former President Daniel Moi airlifted for intensified treatment abroad.
Close family members including Gideon Moi were forced to abandon the plan after the doctors argued that Moi is fighting for his life after his lungs collapsed was too fragile to be subjected to the grueling journey.
In the meantime, medics at the Nairobi hospital have been reportedly instructed not to allow any visitor to see former President Daniel Moi who is surviving for his life at the facility’s Intensive Care Unit.
The 95 year old former head of state was rushed to the hospital when he developed difficulty in breathing just two weeks after he was discharged from the same facility.
Inside sources told Weekly Citizen that the visit has been restricted to Moi’s children only and not even grandchildren have been cleared to visit him.
