What will Mourinho’s salary be?
Mourinho will reportedly earn a whopping £15million a year at Spurs.
The amount is almost double the wage of his predecessor Pochettino.
The Portuguese manager has been appointed on a three-and-a-half-year deal.
The new salary is, however, less than his earnings at Manchester United.
At the Red Devils, he was reported to earn £20.7 million ($27m) a year in the top job.
How much did Pochettino earn at Tottenham?
Pochettino had spent five years at White Hart Lane, turning them into a perennial Champions League team, only losing out on the trophy to Liverpool.
He signed a new five-year contract at Tottenham 18 months ago and the deal was said to be worth £42.5million.
That works out as £8.5m per year, or approximately £163,500 per week.
He said at the time: “I am honoured to have signed a new long-term contract as we approach one of the most significant periods in the club's history and be the manager that will lead this team into our new world-class stadium.
“This is just one of the factors that makes this one of the most exciting jobs in world football and we are already making plans to ensure we continue to build on the great work that everyone has contributed to over the past four years.”
Tottenham could be forced to hand Mauricio Pochettino and his backroom staff more than £20m in payoffs.
Pochettino’s overall net worth is estimated at £9.3million, according to Gossip Gist.
