Friends to the late Catherine Nyokabi who was killed in cold blood by her married boyfriend Evans Karani have revealed new details on the relationship between the two. Her friends told detectives and journalists that they met through Facebook in 2019 and decided to be a couple.
Her friends further stated that the deceased was being provided for by Evans who was a well established truck driver. Her house in Hunters, Kasarani was being paid for and all her need catered for by Evans.
They stated that the 25 year old Nyokabi and Evans had a sour relationship as she started talking to other men on social media and when warned she ignored him leading to a breakup. On that fateful day of her death, Evans called to meet her to which she left promising her daughter and house help that she would send dinner but that was the last they saw of her alive.
Her body was later on found brutally mutilated in a saloon car that belonged to Evans stuck in mud behind Mang'u High School. After his arrest, Evans took detectives to the crime scene and confessed to them about the killing. On that day Catherine Nyokabi gave Evans a second chance only for her to pay with her life.
