As security agencies in the country continue searching for Caroline Kangogo, a policewoman of corporal rank, accused of killing two men believed to be her lovers, the family of 28-year-old John Ogweno at Segre village, Kabondo Kasibul in Homa Boy County is preparations to give their kin final send-off.

Police Constable John Ogweno was murdered on Monday at Kasarani Police station in Nakuru.

Ramaninews.co.ke has learnt that the wife of John Ogweno knew Caroline on June, 2021, after she [Caroline] called her. The two never met.

Speaking to Citizen TV, Pauline Ogweno disclosed that the rogue cop had been contacting her though mobile phone. She said that Caroline wanted to know much about their family whenever they communicated and at some point she would ask her [Pauline] to let their kids visit them in Nakuru.

“Anytime she could call me it could be; how are the kids?, how are you people fairing on?…I want John to come one day pick the kids awalete Nakuru for some hangout,” She said.

According to Mrs. Ogwen, she never suspected that John and Caroline were lovers until when she involved children in their conversation.

The mother of two further told the media house that the last time Caroline called her was three days prior killing of her husband. The police officer turned fugitive had promised her that John would attend their kids’ graduation that was scheduled on Saturday, July 10 in Homa Bay county.

“On Thursday, she called me confirming to me that John had arrived in Kericho…and John had gone to work. Then on Saturday, she also called me akaniambia John will come to the kids graduation which was to be this Saturday. That his the last communication we made with her,” She said.


John Ogwen who joined police service in 2015 was to be promoted the rank of inspector.
