Earlier reports indicated that the deceased was fatally shot by her spouse, Jonathan Mukundi, after he found out that she was pregnant with her lover’s child.
But according to government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor, Njeri, 30, was not pregnant at the time of her death.
Njeri was shot four times, twice in the head and two other shots in the abdomen.
Mukundi on the other hand suffered a single gunshot wound to the head; with the entry wound on the right side and the exit on the left side, which damaged his brain.
According to friend and neighbos ,Njeri had returned home pregnant after a small break up.
Autopsy results have confirmed Njeri was not pregnant when she was murdered.
Police found a suicide note hidden in Jonathan Mukundi house.
According to the suicide note,Njeri had a child from previous relationship which she had hidden from Jonathan Mukundi for over 10 years.
The child was staying with Njeri mother.
After being in a childless relationship for over 12 years because Jonathan Mukundi was impotent,Njeri decided to open up to Mukundi about her child she beared from previous relationship.
This angered Mukundi very much.
Njeri was also done with Mukundi and was trying to end things that fateful night.
