the Last 3 Years
The Churchill show is a comedy series that has always been aired on NTV. Due to the hit of corona virus, public gatherings were banned and therefore the show had to come to a stop. Everyone should be expecting the show back once the public gatherings have been legalized in the country. However with the surge in the infections, the ban on public gatherings may take a little longer. Some of the comedians have begun their personal projects on YouTube and other social media handles to facilitate them during this corona virus period. The following are their colleagues who have departed in the last two years;
1.Othuol Othuol.
He is the latest on the list who succumbed to long illness. He died on Sunday October 11th 2020. He is yet to be laid to rest but a source have indicated that the burial plans are underway. A budget of 1 million has already been organized by the family and his fellow comedians. Below is his photo:
2.Emmanuel Makori Nyambane (Ayeiya)
He was one of the multi talented and fast rising start in the comedy industry. He departed in April 2017 in a grisly road accident on Magadi road. Reports indicate that he was heading home with the wife, and was in the company with comedian Paul wa Kimani and Maina Olwenya. Below are the photos:
3.DJ Nakumatt (Man Kwenjo)
After the death of Ayeiya, DJ Nakumatt followed on July 23rd 2018. He died after a short illness as disclosed by the family. He was not a famous comedian but he was known in the viral video where he was featured in his mouth mixing skills. Take a look at his photo below:
4.Anthony Njenga. (Njenga Mswahili)
He departed in Dagoretti on November 7, 2019. His death was as a result of a struck nerve that left his body sprawling across the railway track. His death shocked the comedians who later revealed that he was fighting depression for the past 3 years. Below is his photos;
5.Joseph Musyoki Kivindu (Kasee)
The comedian died on June 28 2020 as a young rising star. He was found dead around Nginduri area in Kikuyu. The circumstances surrounding his death were not known until the chairman of the comedians Ken Waudo announced that through the autopsy results, the comedian died due to poisoning. A Churchill Show comedian touted to be one of the best in the entertainment industry passed away on Tuesday, May 4.
Young Juma from Kiamaiko, Nairobi succumbed to an undisclosed disease that he had been battling for a long time.
Nairobi matatu boss Jamal Ibrahim (Rohosafi) announced the comedian's death via his social media pages- on Wednesday, May 5 - saying that the deceased spent his last moments with his mother and kin.
Nancy Nyambura aka Jastorina died hours after she was awarded the Best Lead Actress in TV drama at the Kalasha Awards five years ago.
Famed for starring as a mistreated maid in the hit Citizen TV show, Jastorina died at the Kenyatta National Hospital where she had been admitted with meningitis.

Jastorina’s death was, however, a double tragedy for her family after her Kagongo village of Mathioya, Murang’a County.
She is survived by two sons.
