Daniel Owira, commonly remembered as Otonglo came into the limelights in 2013 during the National Drama Festivals where he performed a narrative titled Otonglo. 
Then a form 2 student at Highway Secondary School, coming from a very humble background, President Uhuru adopted him as one of his sons.
During holidays, the young man had the rare privileges of temporarily relocating to President Uhuru's home, next to StateHouse.
After High School, he pursued a degree in Journalism. The first family helped him to secure an Internship at the prestigious CNN.
Today, Otonglo works for CNN
Instead of wheelbarrow, Mkokoteni, Trolley, and handouts, President Uhuru gave the young man a fish rod.
