Here is the name of Person Uhuru has endorsed as Safaricom CEO,As government insists next CEO must Be Kenyan

President Uhuru Kenyatta has reportedly insisted that a Kenyan should fill the now vacant Safaricom CEO post after the demise of Bob Collymore. Collymore, who has been at the helm of Safaricom for nine years, died on Monday after a long battle with blood cancer. He was cremated at the Kariokok Crematorium. Following his demise, Safaricom appointed Michael Joseph as the acting CEO before the board appoints a permanent boss who will fill the shoes of Collymore.According to sources, the board has floated names of former Attorney General, Professor Githu Muigai, and University of Nairobi don, Dr Bitange Ndemo. Ndemo, who is a former ICT Principal Secretary is said to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s choice because he was the one who transformed the telecommunication sector during former President Mwai Kibaki’s era. The Government has a say in the appointment of the next Safaricom CEO because it has 35 percent shares in the giant telco. The Kenyan DAILY POST
