In a shocking turn of events, the family of the Likoni tragedy victims have come out to disclose a number of rituals they have been asked to perform in order to retrieve the bodies.
John Wambua husband to Mariam Kighenda says he had been approached by a number of people who asked him to perform blood sacrifices to appease the sea gods.
John claims he had been asked to slaughter a cow and dump it in the ocean to make the gods happy and would find his family.Wambua who is a staunch christian however refused to do the blood sacrifice saying that the blood of Jesus which had been poured on the cross was enough.
It has since been 8 days since the victims plunged into the sea inside their car. Divers have not been able to locate them saying ocean conditions are not suitable.
The family continue to host prayer vigils hoping that God would answer their prayers. John says he wishes to give his wife and child a proper sendoff.
