Kama mbaya mbaya:Ruto now raises Questions about Uhuru Kenyatta legacy

The gloves seem to be off between Deputy President William Ruto and President Uhuru Kenyatta. Yesterday Ruto questioned the head of states legacy.
The DP’s war on Building Bridges Initiative continued as he openly criticised Kenyatta’s sentiments on how the project will shape his last terms and how it upholds his philosophies.

Ruto on Friday, October 17, took to social media to declare that Kenyatta’s project, which was birthed by the famous March 2018 handshake with Raila Odinga, was to undergo another round of validation by Kenyans.
He insisted that Kenyatta’s project lacks integrity and would only be saved from extinction by a national conversation.
“As a democratic society, the proposals by BBI will be subjected to an open national conversation where every voice (the weak/strong, the small/big) will be heard.
“Those working hard to create new fault lines, and us versus them ‘clash’ will fail soo miserably they will be shocked!” Ruto tweeted.

This came after Kenyatta had defended the BBI and his relationship with Odinga on two separate occasions in two days.

The president spoke at Mwangala Primary School in Likoni, Mombasa County, during the groundbreaking ceremony for the multi-billion-shilling Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone and on Wednesday, while launching the construction of the Nairobi Expressway.
“I watch vividly as politicians compete for political space. I warn you Kajiado residents not to be trapped in such agendas. For me, I have united Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and am calling onto others to join the bandwagon.
“No one can lead this country alone. Even if they attack BBI, they should know that the project is not all about elections. It’s not about creating a post for me. I will retire after my term is over. It’s about the future of Kenyans,” Kenyatta reiterated his stance on the initiative.

On Wednesday October 16, Ruto stated that he has a clear path towards winning the 2022 presidential election. He outlined how he had calculated an exquisite plan awaiting execution, stating that he would clinch the victory by a landslide.
“Don’t worry. Everything is on course. I have done all there is to be done. Things are good for me at the national level. It is upon you to have faith in me,” Ruto asserted after skipping Kenyatta’s SGR launch.
