Former Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo, has dumped National Super Alliance (NASA) leader, Raila Odinga, andjoined Deputy President William Ruto’s campaign team.
Ruto is planningto succeed PresidentUhuru Kenyatta but the Kenyatta, Moi andOdinga dynastieshave gangedup with the sole aim of locking out the DP from State House in2022.
But speaking inKitale on Sunday, Midiwo,who was speaking in parables, warned that Kenya is not a monarch or an aristocracy.
“The poor must also be given a chance.”
“Kenya is not a monarch or an aristocracy.”
“Those withsuch thinking should better drop it,” said Midiwo.
The former outspoken lawmaker also said thatRaila Odinga’s referendum calls should focus onthe economy andnot onthe leadership structure.
"If changes arenecessary, letus focusonthe economy and not the leadership structure.”
“Let these changes be genuine," Midiwostated.
