Government analyst Joseph Kagunda told the court that the white straps used to tie the hands of businesswoman Monica Kimani did not have Jowie Irungu's DNA.
Mr Kagunda told the court that the profile was also different from DNA profile that was found on a beer can recovered from Monica's house.
According to Kagunda, no item collected in journalist Jacque Maribe's car matched Monica's DNA and that no item recovered from the victim's house had Jowie's DNA.
The Government analyst revealed that he received 73 exhibits from the police as well as DNA samples and swabs from several people.
Monica's boyfriend absent from burial
Monica's brother George Kimani, told the court that her boyfriend Yassir Mohammed did not attend the burial although he had been informed about it.
The trial that began on June 24 this year has seen three witnesses take to the stand.
They include a government pathologist, a police constable, and a friend of the late Monica who narrated to the court the deceased’s last moments with Jowie.
Monica was murdered on September 2018 and her body discovered at her house in Kilimani area, Nairobi.
