In Kenya’s media community, these are the top earners in 2019.
1. Daniel Ndambuki AKA Mwalimu kingangi
Daniel Ndambuki is the brain behind Churchill show, which airs on NTV.The Kenyatta University alumni’s annual income from the show averages Ksh10 million.
Besides the income from NTV, Classic FM pays him upwards of Ksh 1.2 million per month.
Churchill charges a cool Ksh 500,000 to MC an event. In a month, he gets at least two offers, which means the comedian/journalist pockets over Ksh3 million in a month.
2. Maina Kageni
Maina Kageni is a small-bodied human who woke up in the right side of life.Maina knows how to align with the wolfs of the real estate industry.
Due to his aggressiveness, the former Truck driver has managed to cut a niche for himself in the media industry. Today, he pockets over Ksh1.8 million from Classic FM.
Maina earns commissions from his sales, annual bonus from Classic FM and other external sources of income…he is a real estate investor.
In total, this guy pockets over Ksh 3 million…no wonder he changes cars like clothes.
3. Jeff Koinange
Jeff Koinange started his journalism journey at CNN.He was unceremoniously sacked by the giant media house after he committed a scandal.
Despite the tribulations, the deep voiced gentleman managed to find his foot.
He returned to his motherland, re-launched his career at K24, later at KTN where he was sacked again before he finally landed at Hot 96. Jeff earns Ksh2 million at Hot 96.
4. Caroline Mutoko
Caroline Mutoko is the Group Marketing Manager at Radio Africa Group. Before her current position, she worked at Kiss 100 as the Morning Show host.
In 2010, Caroline’s salary was Ksh 300,000.Over time,her monthly income has risen to millions and it now stands close to Ksh3 million.
Caroline plays a pivotal role at Radio Africa, which is why she is compensated handsomely.
Betty Kyalo
It seems Betty Kyalo’s marriage controversy earned her more bonga points than what she lost.
Let Dennis Okari continues preaching… this lady(Betty) is aiming the sky. Her salary can now afford rent in Runda,and it’s above Ksh 650,000.

Lilian Muli, though above 40,is one of the most talented journalists. She is among journalists who dropped their husbands but ended up being more successful.
As Kanene continues to struggle with life, Lilian is eating life with a big spoon. Today as we speak, she earns over Ksh600,000.

When Njogu wa Njoroge quit Kameme FM,loud cries were heard in Central Kenya.but for a man who aiming high, that didn’t bother him, his goal was to earn more than any other vernacular radio presenter.
At gukena FM,Njogu was offered Ksh 750,000…that’s what he earns until today.
9. Mbusi
Mbusi is now the heartbeat of Radio Jambo.Mbusi was plucked from Ghetto Radio and tempted with Ksh 650,000 salary, he accepted it.He now earns Ksh750,000 after he negotiated for more.
