Why I have withdrawn My case against DJ Evolve Finally explains what transpired the night he was shot by Babu Owino

 Felix Orinda popularly known as DJ Evolve who was shot and wounded by Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino now wants the case against the legislator withdrawn.

Through his lawyer Kenneth Mumbo, the DJ told the court that after intense deliberations with his family, they had agreed that he concentrates on his situation rather than the pending case.

DJ Evolve says the case has affected his healing process due to divided attention.

However, the DPP says they need more time to assess DJ Evolve’s mental state before they can withdraw the charges. The Prosecution says they need to know what was the motivation behind the position taken by the DJ’s  Through his lawyer Kenneth Mumbo, the DJ told the court that after intense deliberations with his family, they had agreed that he concentrates on his situation rather than the pending case.

The court has allowed the request by the DPP.

“It is my considered view that the application by the prosecution is merited and once the DPP satisfies himself of the issues raised is expected that a comprehensive response will be given that will be able to guide the status of this case going forward,” reads court ruling.

The matter will be mentioned on November 9.
