Schools Reopening Update: Students To Reopen In May and KCSE Scheduled For 2022

The Cabinet Secretary for Education, Dr George Magokha has hinted a possibility of normal schools resumption as scheduled. The schools came to a sudden halt due to upsurge of Civic-19 numbers in late March. Most primary and secondary schools had already closed. It was only the university and collage students who were in the mid session. The Kenya Medical Teaching Colleges were not affected as students remained in session.

On Monday morning the education CS said students may resume their studies on 9th May. This will mark third term which will run up to 17th July.

The time table is tight and children will be having a 10days break in between then terms. Also there will be a 3 day mid term break. This will also imply the form threes have less than a year before they sit for their final exam. Have a look at the timetable. The KCSE and KCPE are scheduled to start from 7th March 2022.
