Caroline Kangogo spent her last day in Kabarnet town where she booked two hotel rooms and spent some time at a backstreet club.
It’s now clear police were completely clueless in arresting Kangogo as waiters and hotel operators in Kabarnet who interacted with her reveal how she was always one step ahead of police.

Apparently Kangogo booked two hotel rooms in Kabarnet town, Baringo County on July 14th but did not spend the night in any of them – a deliberate move to send police on a wild goose chase.
Operators of the two hotels in the Kabarbet town confirmed that indeed Kangogo booked the rooms but did not sleep in any of them after realising detectives were closing in on her.
The killer policewoman also spent some time at a backstreet club in Kabarnet on that fateful day.
“She was in the yellow hood and we recognised her well. When she wanted to clear her bill, she borrowed a phone from me but I was hesitant,” one of the waiters told People Daily.
A senior officer familiar with the investigation confirmed to People Daily indeed Kangogo’s signal had been located in Baringo County for the better part of last week.
Kangogo left Kabarnet for Iten town where locals also positively identified her. A matatu drive who interacted with her in Iten town said he called police but they didn’t take his alert seriously.
Caroline Kangogo traveled from Iten town to her parents’ home in Anin using public means when police had set up several roadblocks in a bid to arrest her.
When she alighted from a matatu, Kangogo took a motorbike which dropped her off to just within meters from her parents’ compound which was also guarded by police.
Kangogo arrived at her parents’ home at around 10 pm on the night of Thursday July 15th, she sneaked into an outside bathroom where she took her own life.
Kangogo’s death brought to an end a 10-day manhunt by detectives who had been trailing her after she allegedly killed two men
