Today at around 1.30pm a bus from St. Joseph's Seminary in Mwingi Town while transport people to attend a church wedding at Nuu Catholic Church was swept away by flood waters as it attempted to cross the drift along River Enziu on the Nguni - Nuu Road.
The bus was carrying an unknown number of persons when the incident happened.
Rescue efforts are currently underway and so far some ten (10) persons have been retrieved and rushed to nearby hospitals for medical attention.
Unfortunately another ten (10) persons are confirmed dead. Bringing the total to 20.
Reports reaching us indicate that the man who was wedding today had snatched his bride to be from another man.
According to locals who were in the wedding, the other man had invested so much in the woman and had warned them of unknown consequences during their wedding day.
"you will not know peace" the man had warned the man who was getting married today few days before the wedding which was supposed to take place today but tragedy struck
