Russian forces have seized the abandoned Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, the site of the worst nuclear power disaster in history.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak announced Thursday morning that “After a fierce battle, Ukrainian control over the Chernobyl site was lost. The condition of the former Chernobyl nuclear power plant, confinement, and nuclear waste storage facilities is unknown,” according to Buzzfeed correspondent Christopher Miller.
