Yet another police officer has shot his wife before committing suicide in Migori County.
The deceased cop, identified as Anthony Mwangi Njuguna, aged 29, shot his wife 16 times and killed her on the spot, before turning the gun on himself.
It’s now emerging that the cop committed the heinous act in the presence of their two-year-old son who was found unhurt, helplessly watching the bodies of his parents in the living room.
On the fateful day, Mwangi left work at around 11 pm and proceeded to his residence.
However, he did not return the AK47 rifle that he had been assigned.
A neighbour told the police he heard the two quarrel, before the gunshots.
The bodies of the two were taken to Migori County Referral Hospital’s morgue.
