In Cerrillos, Chile, a 19-year-old woman was fatally stabbed during a neighborhood dispute on December 16. The incident occurred in a block on Cardenal José MarÃa Caro Street. A group of three people, including the young woman, attacked a residence, using metal bars and knives to break through the door. The homeowner, a 53-year-old man with a criminal history, defended himself by seizing a knife from one of the attackers and stabbing the woman in the neck as she approached the door. The woman was quickly taken to Dr. Norman Voullieme's office, where she succumbed to her injuries.
Following this incident, the victim's relatives sought revenge by attacking the son of the homeowner, leaving him gravely injured. He was then taken to Hospital El Carmen. The investigation is being led by OS9 of Carabineros, Chile's national police force. The homeowner remains at large
